Intellectual Property: Can I submit student created content?

Most AI online tools indicate that anything entered into the tools is stored for further training of their AI models. This means that instructors should avoid entering student-created content into these tools without permission for that use.

By copying material out of ChatGPT or other tools that store your data for training, you may also be inadvertently copying directly from other sources, which may not have been open for copying. Hence, caution is also needed when using anything returned by these tools.
