Note that none of the tools discussed in this workshop have been through a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), which means they cannot be required for student use unless an alternative is provided such that students do not need to provide private information in using the tool. Additionally, the use of these tools does not constitute an endorsement to use these tools specially. We include tools as driven by faculty requests and are provided here only as an educative resource.

Using GenAI to Support Learning

GenAI tools like ChatGPT enhance student learning by serving as virtual tutors and coaches. They assist in developing important study skills and metacognitive strategies, offer opportunities for guided practice, and simulate real-world scenarios to apply theoretical knowledge practically.

While these tools can offload some of the learning workload, it’s crucial not to over-rely on them. The ultimate goal is to enhance your own understanding and skills. Be cautious about privacy, potential copyright issues, and always verify the accuracy of the information provided for a well-rounded educational experience
