Here we list all of the individual Generative AI-focused sessions that we have hosted since June 2023. They’re split into two groups. The first is our session replays, which covers all of the specific teaching and learning focused workshops, symposia, and events. The second is a list of all of our weekly studio session replays.

  • Replay: Integrating Generative AI in Assignment Design

    On August 14th, CTLT hosted a workshop on Integrating Generative AI in Assignment Design. This session aimed to assist faculty and students in creating assignments that promote academic integrity, creativity, critical thinking, and rigorous scholarship. Participants learned practical techniques for incorporating generative AI into assignments and were guided through the process to understand its implications on academic integrity. The workshop also explored how Generative AI can support teaching, including resource design and learner support.   • Replay: CTLT Promptathon

    On July 31, CTLT hosted the Prompt-a-thon, a focused 2.5-hour online session at UBC. This event delved into the practical use of prompting with generative AI, tailored specifically for academic teaching and research. Facilitators with hands-on experience guided faculty, students, and staff through concrete strategies, offering clear examples and resources. The session’s hands-on exercises demonstrated how these techniques could be integrated into specific courses or disciplines.
